Should I have my adrenals tested?


It depends on how you feel. If you feel happy in general, get seven to nine hours of sleep a night, recover well from stress, and can maintain a healthy weight without dieting, your adrenal function is most likely healthy. However, if you’re exhausted in the morning, dragging by late afternoon, then come to life at night, feel emotionally drained or unstable, find yourself using caffeine or refined carbohydrates to pick yourself up, or can’t seem to lose excess weight, you may benefit from having your adrenal hormones evaluated.
